MQM has lost a selfless, dedicated and sincere worker with the martyrdom of MPA Sajid Qureshi

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the assassination of MPA Sajid Qureshi and his son was a big tragedy and he was sorely grieved on the unfortunate incident. He was talking on telephone to the members of the Co-ordination Committee and office-bearers of various wings and departments of the MQM at Nine Zero.
Mr Hussain was overwhelmed with grief and his voice was choked with emotions. He decried the killings of MPA Sajid Qureshi and his son Waqas Qureshi. He said that Mr Qureshi was among the most senior workers of the MQM and the services rendered by his family were not hidden from anyone. He said that the MQM had lost a sincere, highly devoted and selfless worker with the killing of Mr Qureshi.
Mr Hussain deplored that efforts had been made to eliminate the MQM ever since it was formed. “When we started struggle for rights of the disadvantaged people we were denigrated and accused of enmity against the country. Violence and bloodshed was unleashed in Qasba Aligarh, Hyderabad and Sohrab Goth. Our people were killed but we bore the situation with patience.”
Mr Hussain said that the violence and terrorism was continuing against the MQM and the tragic killings of MPA Sajid Qureshi and his son Waqas Qureshi had reminded him about his elder brother Nasir Hussain and nephew Arif Hussain.
Mr Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to descend his mercy and remove hardships in the path of oppressed and downtrodden people. He said that we would continue our struggle in spite of terrorism, violence and bloodshed against us.
Mr Hussain sympathized with the grieving family members of MPA Sajid Qureshi and said that their grief was equally shared by every worker of the MQM. He asked them to bear with patience and perseverance.
