Altaf Hussain endorses the decision of the Co-ordination Committee
Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has announced three days of mourning on the martyrdom of senior ANP leader Bashir Ahmed Bilour along with several other people in a suicide attack in Peshawar. The decision was taken in a joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee in London and Pakistan which was presided over by Mr Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of the MQM. Mr Hussain expressed grief and sorrow on the martyrdom of the ANP leader along with several other people and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The Co-ordination Committee decided to observe three days of mourning from tomorrow, the 23rd December in order to express solidarity with the ANP workers, leaders and other political parties. Mr Hussain endorsed the decision of the Co-ordination Committee and appealed to the people to take active part in the days of mourning.
Mr Hussain said that the people should give a strong message with their unity that they were one force against terrorism. He asked people to hoist black flags on their houses, shops, and other places in order to express solidarity with the revolutionary Pakhtun leader Bashir Ahmed Bilour and other people killed in suicide blast.
