Altaf Hussain Urged party

to work for harmony and better relations with other political

MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has urged his party officials, workers and elected representatives to work for harmony and better relations with other political and religious parties including Awami National Party Pakistan Peoples Party and refrain at all cost from the politics of confrontation, row and tension. He stated this while addressing a meeting of MQM Coordination Committee over the telephone from London. He said that country is faced with critical situation and any sorts of confrontational politics will neither benefit the country or democracy. He instructed the Coordination Committee to make efforts to reduce the recent tension between the MQM and ANP and the MQM officials should not hesitate from taking the first step for this purpose in meeting all political parties including the ANP. He urged the MQM officials, workers and elected representatives to adopt the path of harmony, peace and dialogue. Similarly, he instructed them to improve the relationship with all linguistic and cultural groups and promote brotherhood and harmony. He strongly advised the party officials to observe restraint and peace if confronted with agitational statements from opponents and similarly not to issue strong statements in retaliation to any strong statement even from the government. He reiterated once again for the promotion of peace to refrain at all cost from confrontation, tension and arguments. He asked the MQM leaders, office bearers, workers and elected representatives to continue with their efforts for sectarian harmony in the city and stressed upon the elected representatives to use their competence in resolving the issues of general public.

MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of senior ANP Leader Mr Ajmal Khattak. In his condolence message Mr Hussain said that Ajmal Khattak was a true follower of Bacha Khan and a promoter of peace and his services for Pakistani politics, peace, harmony and brotherhood will always be remembered. He said that Ajmal Khattak was a senior leader and an affectionate elder who spent all his life for political struggle and serving the people. His sad demise will leave a vacuum in the field of politics. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the ANP leadership, workers and all the family members of Ajmal Khattak and said that he and all the MQM workers share the sorrow and grief. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Ajmal Khattak a place in Junnatul Firdous and strength to the family members to bear this tragic loss.
Meanwhile the MQM Coordination Committee has announced its support for the 3-day mourning call from ANP to mourn the sad demise of Ajmal Khattak. Committee has also appealed all the party workers to observe the 3-day of mourning to demonstrate solidarity with the family members of Ajmal Khattak, ANP leadership and workers.
