SHRINE-SUPERIOR (GADDI NASHEEN) OF THE SHRINE OF THE REVERED AND BLESSED HAZRAT NIZAMUDDIN AULIA RH (SAINT) INVITES MR ALTAF HUSSAIN TO VISIT DELHI TO PAY HOMAGE TO HAZRAT NIZAMUDDIN AULIA
London-10 September 2001
The Shrine Superior (Gaddi Nasheen) of the Shrine of the revered and blessed saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia RH, Mr Syed Nazim Ali Nizami along with his younger brother Mr Syed Mazhar Ali Nizami visited the International Secretariat in London where he met Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Dr Imran Farooq, Convenor of the MQM, Mr Aftab Ahmed Sheikh, Mrs. Nasreen Jalil, Sheikh Liaquat Hussain, Deputy Convenors and other members of the International Secretariat.
Extending the invitation to Mr Altaf Hussain to come to Delhi to pay homage to the revered and blessed saint, Mr Nizami said that while people remain restless to pay the homage to Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Aulia RH including the Heads of State, I, as the Shrine Superior of the Shrine of the revered and blessed Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia RH has come to London personally to invite you to come to Delhi to pay homage to the revered and blessed saint, the beloved of God, Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia. He emphasised that without the will of the revered and blessed saint, no one can pay homage to his shrine. This invitation tantamount to an invitation extended to you by the revered and blessed saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia, himself.
He said that this invitation is being extended to you as a result of the compatibility of your teachings of love and brotherhood to the teachings of our ancestors. On this occasion, he extended his invitation to the Deputy Convenors, as well, to come to Delhi to pay homage to the revered and blessed saint Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Aulia RH.
Emphasising on the importance of paying homage to the revered and blessed saint, Mr Nizami said that he had also invited General Parvez Musharraf to pay homage to the revered and blessed saint. However, for reasons, he did not pay homage to the revered and blessed saint and, therefore, he returned without his mission accomplished by not being able to reach any agreement during his Agra Summit. Had he paid the homage, he would have reached an agreement, Mr Nizami exclaimed.
Mr Altaf Hussain, accepting the invitation said to Mr Nizami, "I have the willingness and intent, but you should pray for the accomplishment of my willingness and intentions and also for the redemption of the state atrocities and barbarism inflicted on Mohajirs and Sindhis in Sindh province, Pakistan." Finally, Mr Hussain requested Mr Nizami to convey his Salam, best wishes and regards to his colleagues upon his return and made contributions to distribute food and place a wreath on the shrine of the revered and blessed saint, the beloved of God, Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Aulia.
