London-11 September 2001
Mr
Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM),
strongly condemning the attack on the life of the Northern
Alliance Commander Ahmed Shah Masood said that the assassination
attempt was a cowardly and shameful act. He said that the attack
was also against war conventions, which manifested that the
opponents of Commander Masood having failed to defeat him in the
war resorted to this deceptive act, which was a clear proof of
their weakness, frustration and cowardly nature.
Mr
Altaf Hussain flaying the attack stated that only cowardly people
engaged in war adopt these deceptive methods. He asked the
international human rights organisations including the Amnesty
International and all the principled, democratic and peace loving
nations to raise their voice against this brutal assassination
attempt.
Mr
Altaf Hussain expressed his sympathies with the followers and
family members of Commander Ahmed Shah Masood and prayed for him.
