London – 28th October 2009

The founder of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr. Altaf Hussain has greatly condemned the bomb blast in Peshawar whereby dozens men, women, children and elderly were killed and more than 150 were injured, and expressed his grief. He said that we share the grief of the families of the martyred and pray for their souls, and also the well health of the injured.

He said that inhumane terrorists have flooded the city of Peshawar with blood again today and have killed several innocent people. These terrorists have only one mission and that is to destroy Pakistan, and for that they are attacking government offices, security officials and thousands of other innocent men. He said that this merciless killing of the elderly, young men, women, and children in the name of Islam is inhumane and these terrorists are the country’s biggest enemy and whoever supports them is himself an enemy of not only the country but also humanity.

He has appealed to their entire public of the country that he is not the army‘s duty to rid the country of these terrorists these also they themselves should now take a stand and support the army and government in this cause. They should whole heartedly work for the betterment of the country, and form committees to keep an eye on all suspicious men in their surrounding areas and inform about them to the police and administation. They should also keep guards in their areas with 24 hour services. He has demanded President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, and Federal Interior Minister Rahman Malik that  should immediately take action against these terrorists to make this country a safer and secure place to live. He also appealed to the MQM members in Peshawar to donate blood as much as they can to the injured.
