Terrorist attack is not only on the GHQ  but on the entire army, country and national security– Altaf Hussain

Volunteers should be taken from all political parties and form a National Civilian Volunteer Force who would work along the army against these terrorists

The founder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain has condemned the attack on the check post of GHQ Headquarters in Rawalpindi as a very serious issue. He said that the terrorist attack is not only on the GHQ Headquarters, but on the entire army, and country and its security. The terrorists who have attacked the GHQ Headquarters are open enemies of Pakistan. He said that yesterday the inhumane terrorists murdered more than 50 people in their sucidal attack in Peshawar (capital of NWFP), which included not only young and old men, but also women, children and  more than hundred were injured. Today they tried to attack on the GHQ Headquarters and killed 6 security officials. He said the attack on GHQ is highly condemnable and of great concern. This is an attack on our country and on the national security which can not be tolerated at any cost. The entire nation pays tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives and made the attack on GHQ unsuccessful. Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the terrorists have not only attacked public places but have also now started attacking army headquarters, and this is a test for the unity and strength of the nation, whereby everyone including all political and religious parties to keep aside their differences and show full solidarity. He has put forward a suggestion to the government to take volunteers from all political parties and form a National Civilian Volunteer Force, who would work along the army against these terrorists. He has appealed to the entire nation to stay alert, keep an eye on these terrorists, and to co-operate with the security forces to curb terrorism. Mr. Altaf Hussain also sent his condolences to the relatives of the security personnel who were martyred and prayed that may Allah give them a place in heaven, and that the injured may be cured soon.
