MQM dispatch volunteers,
medicines and other goods for Baluchistan

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee member and Sindh Provincial
Minister Shoaib Bukhari on Wednesday announced that MQM has started the relief
work for the victims of Balochistan earthquake.
He said that on the directives of MQM chief Altaf Hussain, Khidmat-e-Khalq
Foundation (KKF) has immediately started the relief operation for the
earthquake victims of Balochistan by sending a team of 12 volunteers and
dispatched medicines and other necessary items to the affected area of
Balochistan.
Addressing the press conference at KKF head office in Karachi, accompanied by
MQM Rabita Committee member Ashfaq Mangi and Saleem Ansari. Managing trustee of
KKF Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari, said that the London based NGO Society for Unwell
and Needy (SUN) supported the KKF relief program for the victims of
Balochistan earthquake disaster.
We are providing volunteers, medicines, food items and other things for the
every effected people of the Earthquake victims of Balochistan, with immediate
effect, adding that MQM has setup its base camp in Quetta for the victims of
Balochistan Earthquake. The base camp in Quetta has started its relief
activities.
He said second team of volunteers comprising 40 workers including 20 Doctors
will leave the city for Balochistan along with the KKF ambulance as soon as
possible to provide the emergency relief to the effected people.
We are able to send our thousands of volunteers and activists to perform the
relief and rescue operation for the victims of earthquake as we did in the
Earthquake of Kashmir in Oct0ber 2005, he added.
Bukhari claimed that the MQM was the only organization of the country, which
served the peoples of Kashmir Earthquake victims from day first to till their
rehabilitation process.
He said that tonight we send the 200 blankets, 200 camps, Dry Milk, Mineral
water, medicines, Warm cloths, and other food items for the victims of the
Balochistan earthquake adding that more volunteers, foods and other items will
be sent soon.
He appealed to the philanthropists and People's of Pakistan especially the
Karachiites to provide their donations to support the KKF relief program for the
victims of Balochistan earthquake.
He added that the effected people's of Balochistan has immediately needs the
blankets, camps, warm cloths, food items, Medicine and other things and urge the
people's to also render their cooperation in these things.
