MQM Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain called on President Asif Ali Zardari on telephone and discussed in detail increasing law and order problem, economic and power crisis Mr. Altaf Hussain underlined the immediate need to take into confidence traders, industrialists and entrepreneurs over the devastating economic situation of the country.

The telephonic discussion between the two remained for an hour and lauded the efforts being done by the President to bail out the country and also congratulated Asif Ali Zardari over the successful tour of China.

Mr. Altaf Hussain also said after this, relations between the two countries will further strengthen. Referring to Asif Ali Zardari he said due to his efforts China resolved the issues of Pakistan telecommunication satellite, and assured of its cooperation to bring out of the power crisis which is a great success, Mr. Hussain maintained. Altaf said Zardari for this should be paid rich tributes.

Mr. Hussain apprised Zardari that due to serious power crisis traders and industrialists have lost confidence and this needs to be restored as early as possible.

Altaf Hussain suggested that for improving law and order situation, there should be no compromise over the kidnapping for ransom, terrorist activities and all possible measures be taken to improve this horrible situation.

President Asif Zrdari endorsed all such views and suggestions of Mr. Hussain and said present government was fully alive and making efforts to get the country out of present economic crisis and personally making efforts to bail out the country.

Mr. Zardari said with the cooperation of people government will not leave any stone unturned to curb the criminal activities. President Asif Ali Zardari in response to the call said very soon he will convene a high level meeting to get the law and order situation improved and very soon meet traders and industrialists. Zardari said MQM and PPP will continue joint efforts to bail out the country of present crisis.

Altaf said due to worsening law and order situation in the country the traders and industrialists have lost confidence and there was great unrest prevails among them and this confidence has to be restored by the present government. He requested Asif Ali Zardari to meet these traders and industrialists and listen to their grievances.

Mr. Altaf Hussain once again assured Asif Ali Zardari of his unconditional support. President, Zardari appreciated the gesture shown by Altaf Hussain. He stressed that all other parties should show similar gesture for the sake of democracy.
