Due to the suicide attacks the Taliban and Al-Qaida are providing justification to America for attack on Pakistan. If religious militants surrender and respect Pakistani law, then negotiation can be held with them, Pakistan is at its terminal stage. Founder and Leader of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the Armed forces of Pakistan are carrying out a full fledged operation against the terrorists and religious extremists, So, I sincerely advise to America to not violate the International charter and respect the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan. For the sack of world peace it should stop attacks on Pakistani soil and evolve a programme with Pakistani Armed forces and it’s Intelligence Agencies for intelligence sharing. Mr. Altaf Hussain communicated these thoughts in London during a function held on his 55^th Birthday Celebration which was attended by hundreds of MQM’s workers along with their family members, MQM Co-ordination Committee, Senators, MNAs, MPAs, Provincial Ministers, Town Nazims and heads of various wings of MQM who specially came from Pakistan to attend the function.

In Mr. Altaf Hussain’s Birthday gathering, the High Commissioner of Pakistan in UK H.E. Wajid Shams-ul-Hassan, Chairman National of reconstruction Bureau, Dr. Asim Hussain and Leader of PPP Sindh and senior Provincial Minister of Sindh Pir Muzhar-ul-Haq specially attended the function.

Mr. Altaf Hussain during his address communicated that Pakistan is passing at its terminal stage and its safety and integrity is on stack. Time has come that we should unite for the sack of Pakistan despite having differences. We must keep our political views, but if we really love Pakistan, we have to keep our differences at back burner and show unity among our self. He said that it is not the strong Army but a strong Nation can save the country. Mr. Altaf Hussain said that Mr. Nawaz Sharif always sparks against MQM, but I am not egoist, but time has come for mutual understanding and resolving the disputes. He said that when a person of a family is on his death bed, whole family helps him to save his life, keeping all differences behind. Similarly under this situation when Pakistan is at its terminal stage, I sincerely appeal to Mr. Nawaz Sharif, that he must put his all differences behind and to save Pakistan, he should cooperate with PPP and unite himself with PPP and Mr. Asif Ali Zardari. PPP and PML-N should also take all other political parties on board to save the country.

Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the American attacks are continued on our soil and some intellectuals and analysts are advising on TV channels that we should close the supply rout of NATO forces and instead of negotiating we should fight with America. He said that these are the type of people who fooled the nation in 1971 and today again they are misguiding the nation. He said that we have no Atta for nation, the country is facing crisis of electricity and gas and there is serious problem of shortage of energy and we are talking to fight with America. He asked, can we fight with America? He advises media also that we believe in freedom of Press but there should be no attempt to misguide the nation.

He said all those political leaders and analysts who are preaching to fight with America are not the friends of Pakistan. Pakistan is passing through various serious crises, we have to improve the economy of Pakistan and through negotiation we should persuade America to respect our sovereignty and integrity. He said that Pakistani Armed Forces are carrying out operation against religious militants and terrorists so I sincerely advise America to respect the International Charter. For the sack of International peace America must stop attacks on Pakistani soil. He further said that America should develop cooperation for intelligence sharing with Pakistan’s Armed forces and Intelligence Agencies. He said if American attacks are not stopped, it will not be good for America because as a result of these attacks all those people who are not Talibans, will starts cooperating with the militants. He said that America should understand that there will be no solution with the use of power. Mr. Altaf Hussain also condemned the suicide bomb attack at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad, and suicide attack at Charsadda at the Hujra of the Asfand Yar Wali, a suicide attack on the PM Yousuf Raza Gilani’s entourage and various suicide bomb attacks in the country in which many innocent people lost their lives or got injured.

While severely criticising suicide bombings he said killing innocent people is not Islam but it is terrorism. He said that by these suicide bombings Taliban and Al-Qaida are providing justification to American attack on Pakistan. He said that I want peace not only in Pakistan but in whole world. He asked the religious militants who are attacking armed forces and innocent people of Pakistan to throw their arms and start respecting Pakistani law and the writ of the government, only then the negotiation can be held with them.

He said that all people of the country should raise their voice against religious militancy and Talibanisation and to finish these elements very one must support the Armed forces. He said in Pakistan ex President Pervez Musharraf. Ex. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Corp Commander of Karachi faced suicide bombing. Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto got martyrdom due to terrorism and present PM Yousuf Raza Gilani’s entourage was attacked and President Asif Ali Zardari has also been attempted some unannounced attacks. He said that some elements want to derail the democracy. It will not be a good omen. He said MQM has lost its 15000 workers but for the sack of democracy we shook hands with PPP. He said that democracy can be saved and developed only by people.
