KKF has despatched 19 truckload of relief goods to the affected areas today. 13 of these trucks have left for Islamabad whereas 6 other trucks have been handed over to the officials of rangers at the central ordinance depot in Karachi. More relief goods are still being collected at the MQM camps which will later be handed over to the PAF Base Shahra-e-Faisal.
MQM team has distributed relief goods worth millions of rupees in Abbotabad, NWFP Province. These relief goods arrived in 3 trucks at the MQM Base Camp in Abbotabad. The relief goods comprised of blankets, tents, beds, duvets etc. Moreover, two other MQM relief teams of doctors, paramedical staffs and KKF volunteers reached the quake affected areas of Balakot, Shinkyari, Searpilin, Batal and Budgram and provided first aid and distributed medicines and relief goods. The KKF and MQM Medical Aid Committee provided medical relief to hundreds of patients at the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad. The MQM Medical Team consist of ten doctors. The local residents expressed their gratitude to the MQM Teams and said that thier relatives in Karachi and other cities of Pakistan are very impressed with the service to humanity provided by the MQM.
To provide medical aid to the injured in Muzaffarabad, the KKF has established a mini hospital at the Dargah Hazrat Saheeli in Muzaffarabad where a team of doctors is attending to the needs of the patients. Federal Ministers Wasi Hyder, Tariq Azeem and Babar Khan Ghauri; Minister of Auqaf in Kashmir Hafiz Hamid Raza, Major General Abdul Malik and Chief Prosecutor NAB S A Mahmood Sadzai visited the MQM mini hospital. Thousands of injured have been attended to in the hospital and free medicine provided. Everyday, three teams of MQM doctors visit remote areas in Muzaffarabad. The federal ministers, Kashmiri officials and army officials praised the efforts of MQM and assured of their full cooperation. They were very impressed with the steps taken by MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain to organise such a huge relief campaign and provide relief even to the remotest areas.
