Altaf invites suggestions on putting country back on track

KARACHI: Muttahida Chief Altaf Hussain has advised the Coordination Committee to prepare a working paper to resolve the problems of the people and has advised intellectuals and technocrats to submit their suggestions at Nine-Zero.
He tendered this advice while addressing the coordination committee members at Nine-Zero vide a telephonic address here the other day. He said Muttahida was the third biggest political party of the country and firmly believed in democracy and it was its duty to present a workable and practicable paper to the nation.
The suggestions to Muttahida should be as under: How the devolution of power should take place; how loans should be repaid; what steps should be taken to increase the income of the country; devising a viable taxation system for the country; programme to develop industrial and agriculture growth; ending unemployment; provincial autonomy; programme for Muttahida in the local administration; promoting cultural pluralism; how relations can be strengthened between the Army and civilian government; code of conduct for the political parties; constitutional reforms; protecting the rights of women; Kashmir issue; relations with neighbouring countries; MQM policy on the nuclear issue; and other miscellaneous issues.
