LONDON (Reuters) - The sacked chief of the Pakistani general staff, General Pervez Musharraf, has announced that the government of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been ''dismissed,'' Pakistani satellite television said in a newsflash.
``The Nawaz Sharif government has been dismissed'' read the English newsflash, attributed to Musharraf. Another newsflash, at around 1700 GMT, said Musharraf would make a television address to the nation shortly. The broadcast was monitored in London.
