Federal Interior Minister Mr. Rehman Malik met the founder & leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain on Saturday evening in the International Secretariat, London. He was given the message of good will gesture from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani.
They discussed the relations of MQM and Peoples’ Party and the prevailing political situation in the country. They agreed that all the issues between two parties should be solved through dialogue and discussion, and both the parties will continue to work together for the interest of the country and the nation and betterment of democratic system.
Mr. Malik also praised the statement of Mr. Altaf Hussain for welcoming the statement of President Zardari and for advising his party members to show wisdom to improve the political environment. He also briefed the current security situation of Pakistan, and progress of ongoing war against terrorism.
Earlier Mr. Rehman Malik also met with the members of Central Coordination Committee of MQM and discussed the issues between two parties. The meeting was attended by Mohammed Anwar, Saleem Shahzad, Tariq Jawaid, Anis Advocate, Asif Siddiqui, and Mustafa Azizabadi from the Central Coordination Committee, whereby they agreed upon the idea of discussion to resolve all their differences and misunderstandings. They agreed that no statements would be issue from both parties which develop any misunderstanding, as this is the only way to avoid all such issues, and this will continue in the coming future.
