MQM Founder & Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain has appealed to people from all communities permanently settled in Karachi, in the light of current critical situation faced by the country, to remain united, look after and protect each other’s life and property and defeat all conspiracies to create law and order situation and incite linguistic and ethnic riots in the city. He said this while speaking with Advisor to Prime Minister and Chairman of National Reconstruction Bureau Dr Asim over the phone from London today. The current situation faced by the country was also discussed. Mr. Hussain strongly condemned the violent activities in the city and termed this as part of the conspiracy to disturb the peace of the city. He also appealed to all the leaders of political and religious parties to play their role and through their unity defeat all conspiracies of inciting ethnic riots in the city. He also instructed the MQM Coordination Committee and all office bearers and sector and unit level to make all efforts to maintain peace in the city and their respective areas. He also appealed to the Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Home Minister Sindh Dr Zulfiqar Mirza to use all resources available and ensure that peace and law and order is maintained at all cost.
