Reporter):Shopkeepers are frightened and harassed after being received warnings
to close down their businesses from Talibans. Talibans have hanged banners in
Medina Electronics Market and Ittefaq CD Market situated in Benaras Chowk to
close down the markets.

According to reliable sources Presidents of the Unions of both Markets Khalilullah and Gul Roz Hali, Vice President Munir Ahmed and other office bearers said that the warning calls from Talibans are being received repeatedly and hence, Khalilullah, the President of the Medina Market Trade Union has appealed to all the shopkeepers to close down their businesses within 18 days and start alternative businesses while President of the Ittefaq Market Gul Roz and Vice President Munir Ahmed have appealed to the shopkeepers to cease the CD businesses within 45 days. They have emphasised that those not complying with the instructions would be themselves responsible for their losses and because of this the shopkeepers are frightened and harassed. SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) of the SITE Town Police Station M.Ali Wassan upon enquiry said that the shopkeepers will be provided full protection if they are under threat from any source…………………………….
