EID
AND DEEWALI ARE THE DAYS OF GETTING RID OF HATRED AND ENMITY- ALTAF HUSSAIN
New Delhi 14 November 2004
Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the
day of Eid is day of meeting and embracing. It is day of getting rid of hatred
and enmity and getting close to each other. He reiterated that since 57 years,
not only hatred has prevailed between the people of India and Pakistan but also
they are living in the atmosphere of enmity. It is my profound wish that hatred
ends between both the countries and they live in peach and with honour. He
further said that you are celebrating Eid in Pakistan today while I will
celebrate Eid tomorrow on 15 November with my colleagues in India. Mr. Altaf
Hussain said that I have come to India with the message of peace, love,
friendship and better relationship with India and the leaders and people of
India have welcomed my message. He said that this is a good sign that Eid and
Deewali are being celebrated together this year and as a result, relationship
between both the countries will get better and people to people contacts will
improve.
Mr Altaf Hussain further said
that I had full hope towards Allah Taalah that his trip to India will bring
message of happiness for the people of both the countries and enmity between
India and Pakistan will end. He said that Inshaallah sacrifice of the martyrs
and unshattered will of faithful workers of MQM will bring equality in Pakistan,
specially small provinces will have right to rule and they will have full
provincial autonomy while the medieval feudal system will be eradicated from the
country.
Concluding, Mr. Altaf Hussain
instructed all the office bearers and workers not to forget families of the
martyrs and detained workers and include them into their celebration of Eid. Mr.
Altaf Hussain asked the office bearers of MQM to individually extend his Eid
greetings to every worker of the MQM.
