ALTAF HUSSAIN MEETS
NATWAR SINGH
New Delhi – 6 November 2004...MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain
met with Indian Foreign Minister Mr Natwar Singh at his residence in New Delhi
on Saturday. Present on the occasion were Senior Member MQM Coordination
Committee and Senior Executive Coordinator for International Relations and Human
Rights Mr Mohammad Anwar and Deputy Coordinator International Relations Division
Mohammad Younus. In the hour long meeting both the leaders discussed the
Indo-Pak relations, progress in developing mutual contacts, opening of
Khokhrapar and Munabao border to facilitate the dialogue, reinstating the
Karachi visa office, to start ferry service from Karachi to Mumbai and other
issues of mutual interests. The Indian Foreign Minister assured Mr Hussain that
he will use his influence towards resolving these issues soon. He appraised the
thoughts of Mr Hussain for better relations between the two nations and welcomed
his visit to India.

WILL NOT HESITATE TO OFFER ANY SACRIFICE FOR ESTABLISHING PEACE BETWEEN INDIA
AND PAKISTAN – ALTAF HUSSAIN
New Delhi – 6 November 2004...While addressing the international
conference in New Delhi, MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has stated
that he will not hesitate even to offer any sacrifice for establishing peace and
love between India and Pakistan. He said that the people of both the countries
are very happy with the progress of friendship. During his speech, Dr Henry
Kissinger, Dr Hans Blix, Indian parliamentarian and renowned journalist RAjiv
Shukla and others were also present. Mr Hussain reiterated that MQM does not
believe in discrimination and religious extremism and respects human rights
regardless of cast, colour, language, creed, sex, sect and even religion. He
said that MQM comprises of people from all walks of life, i.e. speaking
different dialects, of various schools of thoughts and even religion.
Introducing Mr Devdas, Mr Hussain demonstrated that he belongs to the Hindu
community and is working from the MQM’ platform.
