BURNING OF SANJOHRO TEMPLE IN SANGHAR AND CALLOUS KILLING OF ITS PRIEST IS A PLOY TO DESTROY THE PEACE OF SINDH AND TERRIFY THE MINORITIES – ALTAF HUSSAIN

Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly
condemned torching of Hindu Temple of Sanjohro in Sanghar District and brutal
murder of its priest is yet another sustained effort to destroy the peace of
Sindh province and terrify the minorities of Sindh who have now begun to support
and join MQM in overwhelming numbers. He
said that Islam never preach destruction of the place of worship of other
religions and murder of innocent humans. He further lashed that those elements
engage in this anti-Islamic acts do not deserve to classify as humans let alone
Muslim.
Mr Altaf Hussain expressed his profound sorrow to Hindu community of Pakistan on torching of the temple and killing of the priest and sent his condolences to the family members of the priest. He vowed that Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) would continue its efforts to defend and attain the rights of the religious minorities. He demanded of the President General Parvez Musharraf, Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali and the chief Minister of Sindh Sardar Ali Mohammad Maher to arrest the perpetrators, bring them to book and provide protection to the religious minorities and their places of worship.
