HONEST AND HARDWORKING PEOPLE WILL BE THE REAL INHERITORS OF THE COUNTRY: ALTAF HUSSAIN
ELECTION OF MQM SENATORS WITHOUT SPENDING A SINGLE RUPEE WAS THE REAL CHANGE TAKING PLACE IN THE COUNTRY

KARACHI: 2ND MARCH 2012:

Founder and Leader Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the end of the decaying feudal system, corrupt political culture and dynastic politics had started. “Time is not far when the educated, capable and honest people will get elected and reach in the assemblies.”

Addressing the Sindhi nationalists Mr Hussain asked them to stop the conspiracy of dividing Sindh and have pity on Sindh. He said that the inhabitants of Sindh were the son of the soil, and nobody wanted the division of Sindh. “If the nationalists persist in their prejudicial attitude towards the Urdu-speaking Sindhis, they will stop listening to the talk of unity and solidarity from Altaf Hussain.”

Mr Hussain said this while addressing a large gathering of the MQM workers at the MQM head office Nine Zero who had arrived there to congratulate the newly elected senators of the MQM.

Members of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM and the elected senators Mrs Nasrin Jalil, Barrister Farogh Nasim, Mr Syed Mustafa Kamal and Mr Tahir Mashhadi were also present on the occasion.

Mr Hussain congratulated the senators and the workers of the MQM and asked the senators to work of honesty and even-handedness by rising above the differences of caste, colour and creed.

Mr Hussain asked the senators to show respect to the workers instead of looking down upon them as their servants. He said that the MQM honoured its workers, and the elected representatives must look at them as their benefactors.

Mr Hussain asked the senators to raise their voice for the recovery of the missing persons, rights of the oppressed people and abolition of the decaying feudal system in the Senate and every other forum.

Mr Hussain said there were reports that up to 35 crore rupees were paid for one vote in the Senate elections which was in sharp contrast to the MQM where the senators were elected without spending a single rupee. He said that the election of the MQM senators was the beginning of the real change in the country.

Mr Hussain said that the integrity of the country was being threatened, and big powers were playing an evil game against Pakistan. He said that it was incumbent upon the senators to employ their best abilities for the integrity and security of the country.

Mr Hussain asked the senators to talk about abolishing the decaying feudalistic system, dynastic political culture and breaking the status quo from the country without any fear. They should support their demand by cogent arguments and prove that the feudalistic system prevailing in the country was incongruous with the survival of the country.

Mr Hussain said that the elected representatives should make it clear to the feudal lords that the time for their thuggery, dynastic politics and vain pride to end had arrived. The country would no longer be ruled by a handful of families. The educated, honest and hardworking people of the country would be the real inheritors of the country.
