PRIME MINISTER EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO ALTAF HUSSAIN

London-25 March 2008…..The Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr Yousuf Raza Gilani expressed his gratitude to Mr Altaf Hussain over the telephone from Islamabad for supporting him unconditionally for the position of the Prime Minister and MQM casting its votes in his favour.

Mr Gilani telephoned Mr Hussain and during his conversation he said that not only the Pakistan Peoples Party is grateful to him but the entire nation for supporting him for the sake of and to promote national reconciliation.

Mr Altaf Hussain expressed his congratulations to Mr Yousuf Raza Gilani on his elevation to the Post of the Prime Minister, Mr Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman, Co-Chairman Mr Asif Ali Zardari, leaders and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party on his behalf and on the behalf of the leaders and workers of the MQM as well as the people. He also extended his felicitations to the Prime Minister on the wedding of his son.
