Altaf Hussain‘s niece Ms Aalia Khatoon passed away

 Karachi…14 March 2007...... MQM founder & leader Mr. Altaf Hussain‘s niece Ms Aalia Khatoon passed away last night in Karachi. She was a heart patient. Two months ago she was operated. Last night she had another sever heart attack. She was taken immediately to local hospital but she could not survive. Ms Aalia Khatoon was 53 years old. She was daughter of Mr Safdar Hussain, a cousin of Mr. Altaf Hussain. Ms Aalia Khatoon was also elder sister of a senior worker of MQM Labour Division Mr Mazhar Hussain. After hearing this news, members of the Central Coordination Committee reached her house at Dastgeer Society Federal B Area and offer their condolences on the sad demise to Mazhar Hussain and other family members.

Mr. Altaf Hussain, founder & leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) also expressed to all family members over the telephone.  

Late Aalia Khatoon was buried on Wednesday afternoon in Paposh Nagar Graveyard in Nazimabad. Her Namaz-e-Janaza was offered at Masjid-e- Aqsa.

Funeral procession was attended by hundreds of people including Members of Central Coordination Committee of MQM, Federal and Provincial Ministers, Advisors, City Nazim Karachi Mr. Mustafa Kamal, Members of Senate, National and Provincial Assemblies, Town and UC Nazmeen, Councillors, office bearers, workers and supporters.

Convenor of MQM Dr. Imran Farooq and members of Coordination Committee offered their condolences to Mr. Altaf Hussain on the tragic death of her niece Ms Aalia Khatoon. Moreover officebearers, workers and elected members of MQM and supporters also expressed their grief and sorrow to Mr. Altaf Hussain on the sad demise of her niece.
