PPP UNDER THE GARB OF RESTORING DEMOCRACY IN PAKISTAN IS MISLEADING PPP WORKERS AND COMMITTING A HEINOUS ACT BY KEEPING THEM IN THE DARK AND NOT INFORMING THEM OF THE FACTS

PPP CO-CHAIRPERSON BENAZIR BHUTTO AND THE PPP LEADERSHIP MUST INFORM THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL AND WORKERS AND SUPPORTERS OF THE PPP IN PARTICULAR IN CLEAR AND EXPLICIT TERMS OF THE REAL REASONS FOR NOT ATTENDING THE ALL PARTIES CONFERENCE CALLED BY NAWAZ SHARIF

The MQM Coordination Committee in a joint statement of its Members in Pakistan and International Secretariat in London has demanded the PPP Co-Chairperson Benazir Bhutto and the leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party to inform the people of Pakistan in general and the workers and supporters of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in particular as to why the Pakistan Peoples Party under the garb of restoring democracy in Pakistan is not only misleading PPP workers but committing a heinous act by keeping them in the dark and not informing them of the facts. The Coordination Committee has drawn the attention of the public and particularly of the PPP workers and supporters that Peoples Party who constantly talk of democracy and restoring democracy is covertly doing a deal with the Government and on the other hand deceiving the public and its workers by issuing misleading statements that PPP is not doing any deal with the Government. The MQM Coordination Committee said that if the PPP is sincere in its claims then it should inform the public in general and its workers in particular in clear and explicit words why and what grounds and under what compulsion the PPP Leader Benazir Bhutto is refusing to participate in the All Parties Conference called by Nawaz Sharif for the restoration of democracy and joint struggle. This All Parties Conference was to be held in mid February but was delayed solely for the reason that at the time Benazir Bhutto was busy otherwise and was not able to participate. However, even after announcing a later date for holding the All Parties Conference, what are the real reasons for Benazir Bhutto not to attend the Conference and the leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party are not able to inform the public and its workers and supporters? The Coordination Committee further inquired what then is the meaning of the brother-sister relation where the brother is inviting his sister to participate in the conference called to discuss the current situation of the country and for restoring democracy and even after postponing the date of APC from its initial inauguration the so-called sister is expressing her inability to attend. What conclusion must the public draw from this? The Muttahida Quami Movement demands from the PPP Co-Chairperson Benazir Bhutto and the PPP leadership to inform the public in general and the workers and supporters of the PPP in particular in clear and explicit terms of the real reasons for not attending the All Parties Conference. The MQM Coordination Committee also said that if the PPP leadership will not inform the public of the facts then for deceiving the public and keeping them in dark, the MQM reserves the right to hold peaceful demonstrations at the Press Club and other venues.
