Barelvi for his poetic creations highlighting state atrocities perpetrated in
the June 1992 operation against the party. He said this at a launching ceremony
of "Harf-e-Mazahmat", the anthology of Aqil Barelvi’s poetry, during his

party. He directed the Muttahida leaders to take measures for printing the whole
poetry collection of Aqil Barelvi. He also announced a Rs25,000 cash reward for
Rasheed Jamal for collecting quatrain of Aqil Brelvi and publishing it in a form
of book. The book launching programme was well-attended by a number of literary
