WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE ON THE BASIS OF RELIGION, ETHNOLIGUISTIC GROUP OR LANGUAGE – ALTAF HUSSAIN
London – 21 March 2004
MQM Founder Leader Altaf Hussain have stated that we do not discriminate on the
basis of Christian, Jews, Buddhist or any other religion. He was
addressing a public gathering organised in London to celebrate the 20th
Anniversary of the MQM. He also stated that we are not against any
ethno-linguistic group, i.e. Punjabi, Baloch, Sindhi or Seraiki speaking.
We love all and do not hate any language; in fact we respect all the languages
and consider them as bouquet of flowers. He said that sisters and
daughters of poor peasants in Punjab are victims of oppression similar to the
daughters and sisters of poor peasants of Sindh, who are victimised in the name
of karokari (honour killing). He also stated that we are not against poor
Punjabis, Pakhtoons or Baloch but in fact we are against the oppressive feudal
lords who continue to victimise the poors.
