Dear
Secretary General
PAKISTAN PEOPLES PARTY (PPP) WAGE TERROR CAMPAIGN IN KARACHI
On
25th. February 2004, callous and brutal murders of 6 years old Sassi
Barejo daughter of Mr Gul Sher and 8 years old Hajira daughter of Mr Bashir
Ahmed were committed by the Police on behest of the local feudal lords, a number
of policemen were charged and arrested for inhumanly gang-raping and murdering
the innocent little girls after abduction. The arrested policemen were under
pressure to name the feudal lords sanctioned the abduction and murder of the
innocent girls. The families of the murdered girls are indigenous Sindhi and
supporters of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) belonging to the oppressed
proletariat segments of rural Sindh.
Following
the above brutal and callous murders of unknown assailants on 6th March 2004
murdered Mr Abdullah Murad, a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh
belonging to the PPP and a local Feudal Chieftain. Immediately after the
regrettable and tragic murder of Mr Murad, the PPP leadership including Ms.
Benazir Bhutto made reckless insinuations against the MQM suggesting that one of
the parties in the coalition is responsible for the murder of Mr Murad. The
chronological steps taken and statements made by the PPP leaderships and
terrorists manifests that probably they were aware of the murder. This murder
may have been committed to save the identity of the real killers being unfolded
during the investigation of the grotesque murders of innocent little Sassi and
Hajira.
Ever
since the murder of Mr Murad, Karachi has been drenched into blood as a result
of the terror campaign unleashed by the gun-tottering terrorists of the Pakistan
Peoples Party.
We
appeal to you to take a note of the terrorism of the Pakistan Peoples Party and
take proactive steps to stem this violence, which has been launched deliberately
to start ethnic violence in Sindh province and widen the gulf between Sindhis
and Mohajirs in Sindh that persisted for decades. It is pertinent to mention
that MQM is trying tirelessly and successfully to bridge the gulf created
between Urdu-speaking Sindhis and Sindhi-speaking Sindhis by the agencies and
its co-opted political parties.
The
chronology of the terrorism committed by the workers of the PPP is enclosed
herewith.
Yours
sincerely
M.
Anwar
Member, Central Co-ordination Committee and Senior Co-ordinator, International
