SUBSIDIARY WING OF APMSO TO HOLD “RE-ENGINEERING PAKISTAN” EXHIBITION AT KARACHI EXPO CENTRE

Chairman All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organization Farhan Shams has said that the three day exhibition “Re-engineering Pakistan” by the Academic and Social Circle was aimed at bringing out the talents of Pakistani students and to give them an environment conducive for a better future. The APMSO had organized this exhibition in keeping with its past traditions and it would continue to hold such constructive programmes for the betterment of the student community. He said this while addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club. He was accompanied by vice chairman Abdul Wahab, Secretary General Shabbir Babar Ali, Ahsan Ghouri and Isra Tufail.
Projects made by students and professionals regarding social sciences, engineering and medical sciences will be displayed in the exhibition. The projects relating to solar energy drone, and submarine technology would also be on the display in the exhibition.
Farhan Shams said that the Academic and Social Circle is a subsidiary organization of the APMSO that has been co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for the past many years. Referring to the current situation in the country he said that the student community were looking for a platform where they could show their abilities. Pakistan was faced with crises in the economic, power, agriculture and social sectors. The situation was compounded because of the deteriorating law and order situation and ever-increasing unemployment rate and poverty. MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain desired that the solution of the myriad problems facing the county should be found by involving the students and young professionals who were very eager to work for their country.
He said that it was because in the light of the guidelines given by Mr Altaf Hussain that the APMSO was organizing “Re-engineering Pakistan” exhibition at Karachi Expo Centre from 7th June to 9th June. The importance of the exhibition can be gauged from the fact that more than 500 institutions of higher education and learning were taking part in this exhibition and more than 300 projects would be displayed.
The exhibition would be inaugurated by Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan while Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar would be the chief guest at the closing ceremony. The exhibition would remain open for general public from 10:00 am to 08:00 pm.
He said that job counselling would be another important facet of the exhibition. National and International organizations would inform the students about their organizations. This step would help in bridging the gap between the academia and the industry. He invited general public particularly the students to come to the exhibition and play their role for a better future of their country.
