On the invitation of Mr Altaf Hussain, MQM Founder and Leader, Sardar
Ataullah Mengal, Convenor of Pakistan Oppressed Nations Movement (PONM) and
President of Balochistan National Party (BNP) and Mr Mahmood Khan Achakzai,
Central Leader of PONM and Chairman of Pakthoon Khwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP)
visited the MQM International Secretariat in London and met with Mr Altaf
Hussain. Also present was Mr Abdul
Raheem Mandokhel, the Senior Deputy Chairman of PKMAP. The overall meeting between Mr Altaf
Hussain, Sardar Ataullah Mengal and Mr Mahmood Khan Achakzai went on for four
hours. In the first session, Mr Abdul
Raheem Mandokhel, Dr Imran Farooq, MQM Convenor, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui,
Deputy Convenor of MQM, Sheikh Liaquat Hussain, Parliamentary Leader of MQM in
the National Assembly and Member of MQM Coordination Committee, Mr Mohammad
Anwar, Chief Organiser of MQM UK & Europe, Mr Tariq Meer, Joint Chief
Organiser of MQM UK & Europe were also present. Later, Sardar Ataullah Mengal, Mr Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Mr
Altaf Hussain met in solitude for one and a half hour.
During the meeting, the three leaders agreed that
the 1973 Constitution has already lost its utilitarianism and the present
martial law and the oath under PCO has proved to be the final nail in its
coffin. They also agreed that the
Twenty-First Century is the Century to provide equal rights to all the
oppressed nations. Therefore, by imposing
the 1940 Resolution in its letter and spirit and under a ‘new social contract’
all the nations of Pakistan must be provided their rights based on
equality.
Sardar Ataullah Mengal and Mr Mahmood Khan Achakzai stressed that the rights of the province of Sindh can only be attained when all those living in Sindh will work together and demonstrate their unity. In reply Mr Altaf Hussain said, “I would like to assure you and through you to each and every person living on the Land of Shah Latif, particularly the Sindhi brethren, that we have never been against the Land of Shah Latif and the people living here. We do not wish to break-up the Land of Shah Latif nor do we want to take its possession. The Land of Shah Latif is the land of peace and love and we are ready to extend our unconditional support and struggle for the rights of Sindh province alongside our Sindhi brothers.”

along with Mr Altaf Hussain also went around the International Secretariat and
visited different sections. They
praised the disciplined work of the MQM.
Afterwards, the three leaders also had the dinner with Mr Altaf Hussain
