HIGH LEVEL INQUIRY BE
COMMISSIONED TO INVESTIGATE GHOTKI TRAGEDY

London-13 July 2005..Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement expressed his shock and dismay over the triple train accident in Ghotki and said that this triple train crash is one the most devastating and tragic in the history of train accidents. He also conveyed his profound condolences to the families of the deceased passengers and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the souls of the dead in "Janat-ul-Firdaus" and grant their family members strength to endure the losses caused as a result of the triple train accidents in Ghotki while prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Mr Altaf Hussain said that all the workers, supporters and people equally share the grief and sorrow and also stand shoulder to shoulder with the members of the bereaved families during this difficult times. He termed this train accident as a national tragedy. He demanded of the Government to compensate the bereaved families and commission a High Level Enquiry to investigate this accident and exemplary punishment be given to the functionaries responsible for this carnage. He also appealed to the people to donate blood and asked the philanthropists to come forward to the aid, financially and otherwise, of the bereaved families.
