INDISCRIMINATE FIRING BY THE POLICE UPON THE PEACEFUL PROTESTORS OF THE SIT-IN DEMONSTRATION OF JSQM AND MQM IN LARKANA, SINDH PROVINCE, PAKISTAN

LARKANA: Three activists of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mohaz (JSQM) were injured at Shaikh Zayed Chowk here on Sunday. To stage a sit-in in protest against a canal project, the JSQM activists reached the Shaikh Zayed Chowk in groups. The police, already present there, resorted to aerial firing and teargas shelling, besides using batons in order to disperse the protesters. As a result three JSQM activists, Sarang Chandio, Faru Chandio and Bashir Panhwar, were injured. The police also arrested 25 of the protesters.
