MQM'S WORLDWIDE PROTEST
MUTTAHIDA QUAMI MOVEMENT (MQM) BEGINS ITS WORLDWIDE PROTEST CAMPAIGN TO PROTEST AGAINST THE CONTINUED INJUSTICES, ATROCITIES AND THE DENIAL OF THEIR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS BY THE SUCCESSIVE GOVERNMENTS OF PAKISTAN INCLUDING THE PRESENT MILITARY GOVERNMENT
MQM (Overseas) USA & CANADA organised demonstration at Parliament Hills to protest against the injustices being committed by present army regime and Pakistani establishment against Mohajir population in Urban Sindh.

MQM (Overseas) USA &
Canada Greater Toronto, Montreal And Calgary Units organized a
demonstration in front of Parliament Hill in Ottawa. This
was a huge and very strong demonstration, which was part of the
MQM's ongoing World Wide Protest drive against the human rights
violations toward Mohajirs in Pakistan. More than 200
demonstrators participated in this demonstration. CMFT the
Ontario Wide TV channel reporters with their Camera Men were
present to cover the event. They also interviewed the Chief
Organizer Mr. Mohammad Younus and the other organizers. The
reporters inquired about the conditions of Mohajirs in Urban
Sindh from the demonstrators.
Demonstration started at 03.00pm and ended up at 5.00pm (GMT).
This Demonstration was led by the Chief Organizer of the MQM (Overseas)
USA and Canada, Mr. Mohammad Younus and other Members of the
Organizing Committee. A large number of women and children were
also present. The big excitement was observed when a huge rally
from Toronto joined the gathering at Parliament Hill.
The participants were carrying MQM flags, placards
and Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain's portrait. During the
demonstration the workers distributed leaflets and fliers among
the passers by to apprise them about the situation in Urban Sindh.
The placards contained following messages: Don't support
army rule - Don't condemn Mohajirs, victims of genocide - Justice
denied life denied - Ask for fair trial for Farooq Sattar - Don't
support military rule - Stop army operation against the Mohajirs
- Go back, go back, army go back - Sindh is a flashpoint -
Pakistan, another Auschwitz.
There was a great interest among local Canadians
and Tourists who were watching the demonstration very closely and
they were stopping to inquire about the demonstration.
Passing vehicles were also slowing down and interestingly hearing
the loud slogans and reading the messages on the placards. Some
of the slogans raised at the protest were: Go Back Go Back
Army Go Back, No Justice No Peace, We Want Justice, Wake Up Wake
Up Canada Wake Up, Stop Killing Mohajirs etc.
Special arrangements were made with the help of Canadian
Government's demonstration and special event units in-charge
Officer Barry VanDyk, MQM Delegation led by Mr. Mohammad Younus
was given special time to deliver the petition. Mr. Yves Lafleur,
a Chief Security Operations, Security and Intelligence
Secretariat, Government of Canada at the Prime Minister House
received the Petition.
