ALTAF HUSSAIN CONGRATULATES FORMER AMBASSADOR UMER SHERZAI ON JOINING MQM

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has congratulated former ambassador and noted personality of the tribal areas Umer Khan Ali Sherzai and said that he needed honest people like Mr Sherzai. He said that only the honest people like Mr Sherzai could bring a real change in the country. He said this while talking to Mr Sherzai at MQM Head Office Nine Zero on the telephone. Mr Hussain said that conspiracies were hatched in the past to stop the message of the MQM from spreading in the country, but the MQM was gaining increasing public acceptance in the country despite all the conspiracies by the Grace of Allah. He said that the MQM workers were present in Sindh, Baluchistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and the tribal areas and the MQM has become the centre of hope of the oppressed and downtrodden people throughout the country. Mr Hussain told Mr Sherzai that Nine Zero was the only property that he had in the country. This house that is dedicated for the movement was earlier in the name of his mother and other brothers and sisters. There was no other property of Mr Hussain. Mr Hussain said that various allegations were levelled against him, but no one could make the allegation of corruption. He was in politics for over 35 years, and during this period billion of rupees was distributed among the poor and needy people, but he did not do anything for himself.Mr Hussain said that he had never bargained his conscience. Had he done so, he would also have palaces in Murree, Islamabad, Lahore and many other places. He said that he had never committed dishonesty and asked his followers to steer clear of dishonesty.

Mr Sherzai said that he had joined the MQM after getting inspired by the character and leadership of Mr Hussain. He added that he was happy on joining a party where utmost respect is given to the workers. He declared that he would work as a worker and soldier of the MQM. Mr Sherzai said that the MQM has become a strong national party and hoped that a large number of tribal people would join the MQM soon. He thanked Mr Hussain on behalf of the tribal people for raising the demand of the Qabailistan province. He said that the tribal people had been exploited and Mr Hussain was the only leader who had spoken about their rights.

Mr Sherzai said that all other parties of the country were based on dynastic political culture. It was only the MQM that gave preferment to its workers and there was no dynastic political culture in the MQM. He assured Mr Hussain that he would not let him down and spread the message of the MQM in every city.

Members of the Co-ordination Committee also congratulated Mr Sherzai on joining the MQM.

First of all I would like to thanks the journalists and media persons for their arrival.

My name is Umer Khan Ali Sher Zai and I hail from Kurram Agency of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). I have served as ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and many other countries. I have read the manifestos of several political parties and evaluated the characters and actions of the leaders of these parties on the touchstone of their manifestos. I have no hesitation in saying that the Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain is the only leader who is following the ideology of “Realism and Practicalism” of his movement sincerely and staunchly. Mr Hussain can provide internal and external security for the country and raise the stature of the country at the international level. He can also open the avenues for progress and prosperity that can realize the dreams of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Shaheed-i-Millat Khan Liaquat Ali Khan and the poet of the east Allama Iqbal. If anyone has raised his voice against the outdated medieval feudal system in the country it the MQM. We have also seen that it is only Mr Altaf Hussain who always expresses positive views and opinions about the country and for strengthening democracy. The MQM also emphasizes upon the policy of reconciliation.

I believe that the MQM is the only political party of the country that can provide economic, social, and democratic stability. It can also take steps for securing the interests of the 98 percent people of the country instead of working for protecting the interests of the 2 percent privileged class.

The MQM has evolved into a strong political party and appeal is increasing rapidly throughout the country. The leadership of Mr Altaf Hussain is being praised throughout the country. The manner in which Mr Altaf Hussain looks after his workers is highly commendable.

I knew it very well that the MQM is a reality and it is a patriotic political party. The conspiracies and injustices committed against the MQM are temporary and they will come to an end. The MQM will emerge as the largest political party of the country and the elements conspiring against the MQM will be frustrated.

Pakhtuns and Muhajirs are brothers of each other. I will work for eliminating the misunderstandings and hatreds between the Pakhtuns and Muhajirs and I will also work for spreading the message of the MQM throughout the country. The MQM is no longer a party of the Sindh province only. A large number of the people living in the tribal areas will soon join the MQM and feel pride in the leadership of Mr Altaf Hussain.

I thank Mr Altaf Hussain on behalf of all the people of the tribal areas for presenting the resolution for the creation of Qabailistan province. I have full confidence in the leadership of Mr Altaf Hussain and hence I announce joining the MQM along with hundreds of my fellows. I assure that I will work as a humble worker for the progress and prosperity of the country and the nation.

I will appeal to the people of Pakistan to find gather information about the manifestos of all the religious and political parties of the country and after analyzing the character, lies, deceit and contradictory statements, join the party that can provide security and stability to the country and I am sure that the party will definitely be MQM.
