MQM CONCERNED AT ATTACKS IN MARKETS IN THE CITY
KARACHI: 2ND JANUARY 2012:
The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has expressed its Hailed over the grenade attack on a shop in Hyderi market in Karachi. The committee sympathized with the two persons who were injured in the attack. The committee said that a few days ago a mobile franchise shop was attacked by armed assailants in Shadman Town as well in which two persons had died. The committee said that such attacks are a cause of grave apprehension for the peaceful people of the city. The committee stressed upon Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Home Minister Manzoor Wassan to take serious notice of the attacks on shops and called for strong steps for providing security to the business centres in the city.
ALTAF HUSSAIN APPEALS PRAYERS FOR ARFA KARIM

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his concerns over the prolonged illness of Arfa Karim Randhawa having the distinction of becoming the youngest Microsoft Certified System Professional at the age of 9 years. She is also the recipient of the Pride of Performance Award by the Government of Pakistan. Mr Hussain has appealed to the nation to pray for the health of Arfa.
