DR IMRAN FAROOQ STRONGLY REFUTES THE BASELESS ALLEGATIONS OF LABOUR LEADER LUTF-E-AMIM SHIBLI

MQM Convenor Dr Imran Farooq while strongly refuting the allegations levelled by labour leader Lutf-e-Amim Shibli against the MQM has categorically stated that Aftab Kazmi, the person involved in the murder of Mr Shibli’s wife, is not only arrested by the police but also is in jail custody. He has absolutely no association with the MQM and neither the MQM is involved in this matter in any way. The allegations levelled by Lutf-e-Amim Shibli are totally baseless. Dr Imran Farooq appealed to Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad, Chief Minister Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Home Secretary Sindh, DG Rangers and other officials to meet with Mr Shibli and ask him that who is threatening him and what evidence he possesses to prove the authenticity of his allegations. He said that it is the responsibility of the Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh, Chief Secretary Sindh, Home Secretary, Police Officials, Paramilitary Officials and other senior officials to investigate and present the facts before the public. He assured that MQM will fully cooperate in this investigation.

Dr Imran Farooq said that if Mr Shibli will not be able to prove his allegations and provide evidence then the MQM reserves the right to take legal action against Mr Shibli for falsely accusing the party. In this regard the MQM has issued necessary instructions to its Legal Aid Committee.
