ALTAF HUSSAIN WISHES HAPPY EID AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
APPEALS FOR HIDES DONATION TO KKF

The Founder Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain has extended his warmest greetings to the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and the advent of the year 2007.

In separate messages, he reminded the people that the supreme sacrifices offered by Hazrat Ibrahim^AS and his son Hazrat Ismael^AS will serve as the beacon light till eternity. The need is therefore for us to understand the spirit of the sacrifices offered in the name of Allah Almighty and sacrifice our wealth to remove hunger, poverty and squalor and mitigate the sufferings of less unfortunate.

He also asked the party workers to remember those martyred and the poor on this occasion.

In his New Year message, he prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country and the nation. Mr Hussain stressed that now that Eid ul Azha and New Year were being celebrated on the same day in Pakistan, we should all strive for the establishment of true democracy, elimination of the moth-eaten feudal system, religious extremism, suppressive system, and restoration of the rights of the oppressed and downtrodden.

He prayed for the achievement of the above mentioned goals and directed the party workers to consider no sacrifice too great for that.

Mr. Hussain also appealed to people to donate the hides and skin of sacrificial animals to party's welfare wing, the Khidamat-e-Khalq Foundation, which was doing a yeomen service for the poor and the needy. For this purpose, the KKF needs public support which should be warmly forthcoming, he said.
