- PROTEST RALLY
The protest demonstrations have commenced all over Pakistan on the call
of MMA President Qazi Hussain Ahmed and with the
full
support and participation of Mr Altaf Hussain and the MQM.
- Around 8.30am(PST): The peaceful protest rally was held in Hyderabad.
- Around 8.45am(PST): Hundreds and thousands of people have come out to
support the rally organised at Guru Mander Karachi.
- Around 9.15am(PST): MMA leaders have begun their speeches. However,
still thousands of people are on the streets of Karachi and near the
point on their way to join the peaceful protest rally.
- Around 9.30am (PST): Incharge MQM Coordination Committee Pakistan Mr
Anwar Alam has begun his speech.
- Around 10.10am(PST): Rally continues in Karachi - MMA leaders
addressing the participants.
- Around 10.20(PST): MMA Leader Prof Ghaffoor Ahmed addressed the crowd
and prayed for the martyrs of Balochistan and Bajaur Agency. He thanked
Mr Altaf Hussain and the MQM for extending the full support and
participation in the rally.
- Around 10.24(PST): The speeches and rally ended peacefully.
- Around 10.25(PST): Mr Altaf Hussain expressed his heartiest
congratulations to all the office bearers and workers of the MQM for
their participation in the rally and making it a historical success. He
also paid huge tributes to all the MQM workers, Haq Parast Members of
Parliament, Minister and Advisers for affectively organising and
participating in the rally on such short notice of only 6 hours. He
saluted the MQM workers of zones, sectors and units for making the MMA-MQM
rally a success by participating in huge numbers.

army action is not stopped in Balochistan and other areas then MQM will start protest campaign.Altaf Hussain

Musharraf and the United States in the wake of a U.S. air strike that
killed 18 people. Pakistani parties have called for more
demonstrations... Pakistan's religious party alliance, MMA, called for
protests. They were joined by MQM (Muttahida Quami Movement), a key
alliance party in Musharraf's government which has several federal
ministers in the Cabinet.
