ALTAF
HUSSAIN OPPOSES BALOCHISTAN OPERATION
CALLS FOR ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE ON THE SUBJECT
LONDON:13,January
2005 The founder leader of Muttahida Quami Movement has called for a round
table conference of nationalist leaders from Balochistan to discuss their
grievances and search for their solutions on immediate basis.
He
said in a statement from the party’s international headquarters that wisdom
and cool headed approach, rather than any hasty operation in the province was
the need of the hour.
Mr
Hussain reminded the countrymen that national integration was almost missing
which obviously had caused misgivings and apprehensions at the popular levels.
It was therefore necessary that due attention be paid to injustices and sense of
deprivation among the people of the south-western province. Their views be heard
patiently and proper solution should be sought.
A
round table conference of all nationalist leaders will be the key platform for
achieving the objective, he said, condemning at the same time the shameful
treatment meted out to lady doctor of the province. He demanded immediate action
against those responsible for the heinous crime and exemplary punishment to
them.
Mr
Altaf Hussain stressed that healing of wounds, rather than rubbing of salt on
them should be the correct treatment. Respecting human sentiments alone can
bring the desired results, the MQM leader concluded.
