KHIDMAT-E-KHALQ FOUNDATION AND SUN HANDS OVER THREE TRUCKS LOADED WITH RELIEF MATERIALS TO THE CONSUL GENERAL OF IRAN

Khidmat-e-Khalq
Foundation in collaboration with a British Charity SUN handed over three trucks
loaded with the relief goods for the victims of Bam earthquake to the Consul
General of Iran in its second round of relief campaign. Mr Abdul Khaliq Baloch
and Syed Abbas Haider Rizvi, Members of the MQM Central Co-ordination Committee
handed over the goods to His Excellency Syed Musa Hussaini, Consul General of
Iran in Karachi. Mr Ahsanullah Khan, one of the Trustees of Khidmat-e-Khalq
Foundation and His Excellency Rahmatullah Bakhtiari, Deputy Consul General were
also present on this occasion. The relief goods consisted of readymade woollen
garments, quilts, dried milk, tealeaves, other food provisions and medicines
consisting of millions of Rupees. Prior to handing over of goods, Mr Khaliq
Baloch and Syed Abbas Haider Rizvi had expressed their profound sorrow and grief
to the Consul General for the thousands of people dead and injured in the
Iranian city of Bam due to earthquake. They conveyed the condolences for the
dead and prayers for the injured from Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of
Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and said that on his expressed instructions, KKF
and SUN has established over twenty-five relief Camps in different areas of
Karachi. They also informed the Consul-General that a Relief Convoy comprising a
container and several trucks including paramedics and doctors has been
dispatched to Iran via Quetta on Thursday.
His Excellency Syed Musa Hussaini, Consul General of Iran received the goods from Khidmat-e-Khalq and Sun and thanked Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and the KKF for helping the Iranian brethrens in their hours of need.
