19 January 2000

At around 2.40 p.m., the personnel of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Police Station in Mobile No 347 raided Salman Medical Store in North Karachi and arrested Irshad son of Shafi Mohammad. He is a worker of MQM Unit 109, Sector Shah Faisal Colony.

15 January 2000

At around 2 a.m., the personnel of TPX Police Station raided the residence of Ehsan and arrested him. Ehsan 40, son of Rehmat Ullah, is a resident of House No 431, Gali 6, Mohammadi Chowk, Orangi Town, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 123, Sector Orangi Town.

4 January 2000

At around 5 p.m., the personnel of CIA Police arrested Ghulam Mustafa Javed from Hyderi Market, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 156, Sector Liaquatabad. His whereabouts are unknown.

28 December 1999

• At around 4:00 a.m., the personnel of Pak Colony Police Station raided the temporary residence of Qayyum Ud Din and arrested him. Qayyum Ud Din 30, son of Shams Ud Din is a worker of MQM Unit 169, Sector Nazimabad, Karachi. He is being detained at Pak Colony Police Station.

• The personnel of Khwaja Ajmer Nagri Police Station have arrested Anwar Bande Ali while he was on his way to the tailor shop. The Police are demanding Rs 40000 from the family for his release. It is to note that earlier his brother Nasir Bande Ali was extra-judicially killed by SHO Taufeeq Zahid. Another brother Akbar Bande Ali and nephew Sohail Tehseen are in prison for the past three years on false and fabricated charges. Anwar 33, son of Bande Ali, is a resident of House No 356, Aisha Nagar, 7-D, Surjani, Karachi.

• The personnel of CIA Police arrested Syed Amir Raza from the street near 5-C Bus Stop. Syed Amir Raza 23, son of Syed Iftikhar Hussain is a resident of A-196/12, Gulberg, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 149, Sector Federal B Area.

26 December 1999

• At around 7:00 p.m., the personnel of C.I.A Police raided the shop of Luqman and arrested him. Luqman 26, son of Abdul Salam is a worker of MQM Unit 137, Sector North Karachi, Karachi. He is being detained at an unknown place.

• The personnel of C.I.A Police raided the house of Mohammad Ashraf and arrested him. Mohammad Ashraf 30, son of Shafi Malik is a worker of MQM Unit 162, Liaquatabad, Karachi. He is being detained at an unknown destination.

• The personnel of C.I.A Police and other plane cloth personnel raided the house of Mohammad Ansar Danish and arrested him. Mohammad Ansar Danish 35, son of Anwar Ali is a worker of MQM Unit 162, Sector Liaquatabad, Karachi.

• The same raiding party raided the house of Mohammad Ejaz and arrested him. Mohammad Ejaz 30, son of Mukhtar Ali is a worker of MQM Unit 162, Sector Liaquatabad, Karachi. He is being detained at an unknown place.

• At around 9:00 p.m., the personnel of Orangi Town Ext. Police Station raided the shop of Ehtesham and arrested him. Ehtesham 30, son of Nizamuddin is a worker of MQM Unit 118, Orangi Town, Karachi.

• The personnel of Liaquatabad Police Station raided the house of Shahid and arrested him. Shahid 30, son of Mohammad Saghir is a worker of MQM Unit 188, Sector Nazimabad, Karachi. He is being detained at Liaquatabad Police Station.

• At around 3 p.m., the personnel of New Karachi Police Station arrested Amir Majeed from the streets. Amir Majeed 18, son of Majeed is a resident of House No 117, 11-F, Block-1, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 141, Sector New Karachi.

15 December 1999

The Haqiqi terrorists have cold bloodedly murdered Mohammad Saleem. He was the younger brother of an MQM worker Mohammad Naeem. Those involved in the killing are: Saleem alias Tunda, Yousuf and their father Islam Uddin alias Islam Chor.

14 December 1999

• At around midnight, the personnel of Mominabad Police Station raided the residence of Mazhar Hussain and arrested him. Mazhar Hussain 25, son of Mushtaq Ahmed is a resident of Aligarh Colony, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 123, Sector Qasba Aligarh Colony.

• At around 10 p.m., the personnel of CIA Police raided the residence of Asif Baig and arrested him along with his brother Arshad Baig. During the raid, they misbehaved with the family members and ransacked the house. Asif Baig 18, son of Mirza Qamar Ullah Baig is a resident of Liaquatabad, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 157, Sector Liaquatabad.

3 December 1999

• At around 1:00 a.m., the personnel of Saeedabad Police Station, led by SHO Raja Nisar raided the house of Abdul Raheem. In his absence, they arrested his younger brother Abdul Karim. Abdul Karim 18, son of Allauddin, his brother is a worker of MQM unit 112, sector Baldia Town, Karachi.

• At 1:00 a.m., the personnel of Pakistan Army, Para Military Rangers and Korangi Police Station raided the temporary residence of Mohammad Jameel and arrested him. Mohammad Jameel 30, son of Mohammad Zaheer is a committee member of MQM Unit 70, Sector Korangi, Karachi. He is being detained at an unknown place. He is being subjected to brutal torture.

2 December 1999

On 2 December 1999, around 4.00 p.m. (PST), Mr Asif Kamal, an MQM worker of Unit 162 of Liaquatabad, Karachi was standing near a taxi at Block 9, Juaharabad, Karachi, where armed terrorists stopped their car and shot him from point blank range. He fell on the spot because of unprovoked firing and succumbed to his injury on his way to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The details of the victim of the terrorism are as follows:

Mr Asif Kamal, S/O Mr Alhaj Kamal, 25 years and a resident of House no. 423, Block 6, Liaquatabad (Near Firdaus Shopping Centre), Karachi.

Previously, Asad Kamal, brother of the victim was also assassinated by the "Haqiqi" terrorists, namely, Tajuddin, Ashraf alias Standwala, Qadir, Sajid and others. The victim leaves behind a mourning family that includes parents, four brothers and three sisters.

17 November 1999

At around 4:00 a.m., the personnel of C.I.A Police raided the house of Shafiq and arrested him. Shafiq 40, son of Noor Mohammad is a worker of MQM Unit 181, Sector Nazimabad, Karachi. He is being detained at an unknown destination.

11 November 1999

• At around 4:00 p.m., the personnel of Malir City Police Station, led by SHO (Station House Officer) raided the temporary residence of Adnan and arrested him. Adnan is a worker of MQM unit 97, sector Malir, Karachi.

• At around 11 p.m., the personnel of CIA Police arrested Saeed while he was coming out of the mosque. He has been taken to the Korangi Police Station. Saeed 25, son of Barkat Ullah is a resident of Korangi, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 77, Sector Korangi.

7 November 1999

At around 3:00 p.m., the agencies sponsored group "Haqiqi Terrorists" namely Shakeel, Shah Jee and Chandio broke into Naseem Mehdi's house and kidnapped him. They took him to an unknown place, tortured him and later on he was taken to the Orangi Town Police Station. In the Police Station, he was again brutally tortured. Naseem Mehdi 36, son of Ghulam Rasool is a worker of MQM Unit 121, Sector Orangi Town, Karachi.

2 November 1999

• The personnel of C.I.A, Police and other plane cloth personnel raided the house of Zafar and arrested him. Zafar 28, son of Mohammad Asif Khan is Joint Incharge of MQM Sukker Zone. He is being detained at an unknown place.

• At around 7:00 p.m., the personnel of Baldia Town Police Station raided the house of Shahid at House No. 52, Sector 4-F Baldia Town, Karachi, and arrested him. Shahid 22, son of Islam-ud-Din is a worker of MQM unit 112, sector Baldia Town, Karachi. He is being detained at Saeedabad Police Station. He is being subjected to brutal torture.

31 October 1999

• The personnel of Para Military Rangers, C.I.A and Police raided the temporary residence of Akram and arrested him. Akram 32, son of Rehmat is a worker of MQM unit 112, sector Baldia Town, Karachi. He is being detained at unknown destination.

• At around 9:00 p.m., the personnel of Orangi Town Police Station arrested Mohammad Mairaj from a street of Orangi Town. Mohammad Mairaj 31, son of Mohammad Mustafa is a worker of MQM unit 118, sector Orangi Town, Karachi.

20 October 1999

• At around 7.30 p.m., the personnel of CIA Police arrested Mohammad Sarwar Ansari from the area. Mohammad Sarwar Ansari 27, son of Abdul Ghafoor Ansari is a resident of Nazimabad, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 188, Sector Nazimabad-Gulbahar.

• At around 6.30 p.m., the personnel of CIA Police raided the temporary residence of Shakir and arrested him. Shakir 25, son of Mohammad Yaseen is a resident of Pak Colony, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 186, Sector Pak Colony.

26 October 1999

At around 2 a.m., the personnel of CIA Police and Jamshed Police Station raided the residence of Rafat Ali Anjum and arrested him along with his brothers Asif Ali, Zafar Ali and Rashid Ali. Rafat Ali Anjum 32, son of Shaukat Ali is a resident of 1648, Block-15, Federal B Area, Karachi. He is a worker of MQM Unit 56, Sector PIB Colony.
