QAISER WARSI,
AN MQM WORKER KIDNAPPED AND RUTHLESSLY TORTURED TO DEATH BY THE
TERRORISTS OF THE TYRANNICAL GOVT. OF NAWAZ SHARIF
Karachi: January 3, 1998
Qaiser Warsi 19, son of Mohammad Warsi was the resident
of House No. 138, Sector 14, H-Block, Orangi Town, Karachi. He
was the worker of MQM Unit 121, Sector Orangi Town.
On 31 December 1998, the terrorists belonging to the
Government of Nawaz Sharif, under the guidance of Nusrat Mirza,
media consultant of the Federal Ministry of Information,
kidnapped Qaiser Warsi 19. He was kept in the torture cell of
Pakistan Muslim Raabita Council (funded by Pakistan Muslim League
-- Nawaz Group), where he was brutally tortured. Marks of torture
were clearly visible on the corpse. Skin from his face and back
was ruthlessly lynched and several parts of his body were burnt
with cigarette butts. He died as a result of brutal torture and
his body was found at Ali Nagar in Orangi Town, Karachi, in the
early hours of 2 January 1999.
Since the imposition of Governor Rule in the province of Sindh,
the Government of Nawaz Sharif has unleashed a reign of terror
upon the MQM leaders, workers, supporters and their relatives.
The promulgation of Article of 245 and the establishment of the
Summary Military Courts in Sindh have further intensified the
sense of alienation among the Mohajir Nation as a whole and MQM
in particular. Hundreds of MQM workers, supporters and their
relatives have been arrested on false charges. Detained MQM
workers and supporters are being severely tortured and
pressurised to sign pre-written confessional statements to be
used in the 'media trial' campaign of the Government of Nawaz
Sharif to malign the image of MQM.
