He is a chartered accountant. He has worked in the agricultural sector for a considerable time. He has been affiliated with the construction industry. Presently, he is working in the petroleum and energy sector.
Respected Journalists
We have studied the manifestos of a number of political parties and examined the actions and character of their leaders. We do not find any difficulty in saying, rather we feel pride, that the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain is the only leader in the country who is pursuing the ideology of “Realism and Practicalism” of his party with complete sincerity and honesty. He can bring stability for the country both at the national and international level and lead the country to the road of progress and prosperity fulfilling the dreams of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal and Shaheed-i-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan.
Respected Journalists
If anyone in the country has raised its voice against the feudal system and made practical efforts, it is the MQM. We have seen that Mr Altaf Hussain is the only leader who has always expressed positive views and opinions for the country even in the face of difficult circumstances and state repression. He has also stressed upon the need for policy of reconciliation for strengthening the country. We believe that in the current situation, the MQM is the only political party with the capability to give economic, democratic and political stability to the country.
Respected Journalists
The branches of the MQM that represents the poor and middle class segment of the society have spread throughout the country. We are seeing that the leadership of Mr Altaf Hussain is being admired everywhere. It is evident that the MQM is a reality, and it is a patriotic political party. The injustices and excesses done against the MQM by the conspirators are temporary that will end by the grace of Allah. The MQM will emerge as one of the largest political parties of the country and the elements spreading poisonous propaganda against the MQM would fail in their designs.
We believe that the MQM is no longer a party of the Sindh province only as people from Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are expressing their confidence in the MQM in a large number.
Respected Journalists
We repose full confidence in the leadership of Mr Altaf Hussain and announce our decision to join the MQM. We express our determination to work as a humble worker of the MQM for the progress, prosperity and stability of the country. We will particularly make practical efforts to dispel the feelings of ill-will and misunderstandings that have been spread in the Punjab.
Respected Journalists
We appeal to the people living across the country to study the manifestos of all the political parties and judge them on their work and character. We believe they will realize for themselves that the only political party that can bring stability and security in the country is the MQM.
Once again, we thank you all for coming to attend this press conference.
