Address to the members of the MQM Co-ordination Committee, newly elected
members of National and Provincial Assemblies and different wings of the MQM

While addressing the gathering of MQM Co-ordination Committee, newly Elected members of National and Provincial Assemblies and office bearers of different wings of the MQM Founder and Leader of the MQM, Mr. Altaf Hussain assured to the Co-Chairman of the PPP, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari that MQM weather it sit in opposition or in the government in both the cases we will support all positive steps of the government and will not adopt any way to destabilise the elected government.

Mr. Hussain said that Muttahida Quami Movement completely believed in democracy and has always performed positive and constructive politics. It has always preferred the national interest and we want that since the country is passing through a difficult stage so, our positive performance will help the country to get out the difficulties. He further said that we want a strong and stable country which it should progress and bring prosperity. Poverty and unemployment should be eliminated at it earliest. Mr. Hussain said that we want peace in Sindh and whole of the country. Promotion of peace and democracy are the essential part of the country’s stability. We want to see democracy in the country progressing. Mr. Hussain also said that if we will sit in the opposition we will not do the thumbing of desk which becomes the cause of creating bad atmosphere in the house instead we will do the role of positive and constructive opposition for the sake of country’s progress and betterment of the people we will support all positive steps. He further said that opposition members and the members of the government both are loyal to the country. Mr. Hussain also congratulated all newly elected National and Provincial Assembly for the befitting victory and he also guided them that they should serve the people as Khadim and not as a ruler and also serve the minorities and other communities indiscriminately.
