The People of Punjab Should Once Try the MQM, God Willing
We Would Change the Fate – Altaf Hussain

Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) said that the MQM is the biggest challenge for the medieval feudal-political system in vogue in Pakistan today and hence, a virulent propaganda is propagated to displease and disgruntle the public against the MQM. This is done with the view that the dissemination of the MQM’s message and ideology could bring a revolution of the “Working and Middle Class” people in Pakistan and thus No Power in the World could cast an evil eye on Pakistan.

Mr Altaf Hussain expressed these views during his electioneering telephonic address from London to 10 cities of Punjab province, namely; Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanpur, Bahwalpur, Ahmedpur Sharqia, Kehrore Pacca in Lodhran District, Bahawalnagar, Kot Addu, Mianwali and Layyah simultaneously. Workers,  nominated candidates as well the public assembled in these meetings in large numbers. Mr Hussain announced the names of the nominated candidates fielded in these constituencies by the MQM. 

Mr Altaf Hussain said that his statements are distorted to mislead the people of the province of Punjab. Questioning the people of Punjab, he asked that has the fate of the peasants (Mazarehs & Haris), farmers, labourers, working and middle class people changed since the creation of Pakistan? Do they avail the same rights and privileges since the creation of Pakistan as availed by the feudal lords, tribal chiefs, landed aristocracy, capitalists, Generals, Civil Bureaucracy and members of the privileged classes who have been ruling Pakistan generations after generations? He further added that the Feudal Oligarchy, Generals and Civil Bureaucracy have made the people of the country hostage for the past 60 years. Addressing the people of Punjab he asked for how long would they continue to remain hostage of these feudal oligarchic families and tribal chiefs; for how long would they rest their hopes with these feudal and tribal oligarchic families, arrange their meetings and rallies, carry them on their shoulders and have these people elected to the Senate and National and Provincial Assemblies by casting their votes in their favours? He added that if the working people and middle classes did not send their representatives to the legislative bodies then they would continue to be shackled, suffer and faced with the problems. He stressed that the disadvantaged poor people of the country are deprived of wheat flour (Atta), gas, electricity, potable water, education and health facilities, the question now arises that these few families have been returning to power generations after generations during the military and civil bureaucratic rules but what have they rendered to the solution of the problems faced by the people, the progress of the villages and towns? Mr Altaf Hussain said that these feudal and tribal lords, Army Generals and the ruling elites have misappropriated the national exchequer, embezzled the bank loans in billions and trillions having written off. The same families are the owners of the Flour Mills, Sugar Mills and Lentils (Daal) Mills while the poor people are forced to queue up to acquire daily provisions. He elaborated the feudal and tribal oligarchy preach the lesson of laws and Constitutions while consider themselves above the law and the constitution. He claimed that he would quit politics if a single feudal or tribal ruler is languishing in any jail of Pakistan for purely siphoning off the national exchequer.

Mr Altaf Hussain addressing the youth of Punjab, particularly the students said that the same families comprising the feudal and tribal chiefs, army generals and civil bureaucracy, those journalist, writers and columnists compromising their “pen” (referring to their conscience) misled the people of the Punjab about the Bengalis, the fellow countrymen and co-religionists by terming them traitors and Indian agents. The same ruling oligarchy consisting feudal and tribal lords, Army Generals salute the visiting Bangladeshi functionaries to welcome them and lay wreath on the mausoleums of the Bengali martyrs while visiting Bangladesh. Similarly, a virulent propaganda was propagated against the MQM in the entire Punjab that the MQM is anti-state, a terrorists’ party and the enemy of Punjabi and Pakhtun to disgruntle the people of the country including Punjab against the MQM to perpetuate the feudal rule and to keep the people enslaved. He stressed that the Feudal oligarchy detest Altaf Hussain because Altaf Hussain is neither a feudal nor a son of a feudal; the MQM poses a challenge to the feudal system and the biggest crime of the MQM is that it sent the educated people of  Working and Middle Classes from the grass-root levels to the legislative bodies. Mr Altaf Hussain exhorted that negative propaganda against the MQM is propagated in the fear that if the righteous message and ideology is disseminated in the provinces of Punjab, Pakhtunkhaw, Balochistan and Sindh then it could bring a revolution of educated Working and Middle Class in the country and the people would unite under the flag of the MQM and would not allow the to break-up.  No power could cast an evil eye on her.

Mr Altaf Hussain said that leaders of a few parties levelled allegations that Altaf Hussain speaks against the army and agencies; termed the MQM and Altaf Hussain anti-state whenever MQM claimed that Pakistan has been created for its people and not for the feudal lords, tribal chiefs, army generals and civil bureaucracy. The same politicians today while deposed of the power are uttering against the army while the same politicians have been coming in the power on the crutches of the army. He emphasised that those political leaders today speaking against the army did not like to remain in jail even for a year and fled after signing a deal with the same army they are thrashing today. The political leaders persistently lied to the people for 8 years that they had not made any agreement and the same political leaders confessed in 2007 that they had not signed an agreement for 10 years but 5 years, instead. Enquiring the people of Punjab, Mr Altaf Hussain asked the people to name a single feudal based party who offers nomination tickets to its educated working and middle class workers and office bearers? He said that Mayors and Deputy Mayors in Karachi and Hyderabad belonging the MQM were elected unopposed as a result of a landslide victory in the Local Bodies Elections in 1987. Furthermore, he said that the MQM overwhelmingly won the General Elections of 1988, 1990, 1993, 1997 and 2002 and asked the people of Punjab that did he give nomination tickets to his family members or how many palaces have been built by Altaf Hussain or his family members? Different allegations are levelled against Mr Altaf Hussain and if it had any credence then today Altaf Hussain would have had palatial houses and palaces in Defence Society, Karachi, Muree, Islamabad and Lahore and the agencies would have presented its testimonies to the public. He asked the people, did Altaf Hussain loot the national exchequer or embezzled any bank loans? And if he has, then the agencies shall produce the evidence to the public.

Mr Altaf Hussain said that a nefarious propaganda is propagated against Altaf Hussain and the MQM only to mislead the people of Punjab because the propagators know that if the MQM fully assumed power, it would recover the last penny of the looted millions and billions from the loan takers Feudal lords, tribal chiefs and the army generals and redeposit it into the national exchequer. He said that he would like to redeem the country from looters of the national exchequers and embezzlers of the bank loans, would like to establish such an equitable and egalitarian system which would empower all in the country, supremacy of the law would be applied to all in equality, justice would be dispensed to poor and rich in equality, education system would be such where the standard of schools be the same for the rich and poor.

Mr Altaf Hussain citing examples of certain articles published in the international media about Pakistan said that others simply speak while he tells the truth, please download the articles he had mentioned, you read yourselves and make others read also. Having read these, it would be clear to them that international conspiracies are being hatched to destabilise Pakistan. Anyone wishing is talking about the destabilisation of Pakistan and is stating that whenever they wish would enter Pakistan to take action. Mr Altaf Hussain said that the unity and solidarity that the people of Pakistan needed now was never needed before. Addressing the people of Punjab he asked them to come forward and strengthen the hands of Altaf Hussain, if we unite then I swear upon God, anyone entering Pakistan would have to tread over our dead bodies. He said that our elders had not opposed the creation of Pakistan but created Pakistan having given unprecedented sacrifices for its creation but who had opposed the creation of Pakistan are ruling for the past 60 years. He said that MQM is the party of the children of the creators of Pakistan and it would also be the MQM that would save the country. He said that feudal lords and tribal chiefs have dismembered the country and are hell bent on further fragmenting the remainder of Pakistan. Addressing the youth of Punjab he asked them to strengthen the hands of Altaf Hussain to be able to protect Pakistan and make it stronger. He further said that you have to play a pivotal role in saving Pakistan. Addressing the public on the different cities of Punjab, Mr Altaf Hussain said that you have tried all the political parties repeatedly and your fate has not changed a bit, you should try the MQM at least once and God willing he would change the fate of the people of the country, we have the capacity and we deliver what we claim.

Mr Altaf Hussain deliberating on the opposition of the lawyers fraternity and the leaders of certain political parties against the judges taking oath under the PCO (Presidential Constitutional Order) said that if taking oath under the PCO by the present judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts is wrong now then how could taking oath of the former judges under the PCO be termed right? He asked if alcohol was forbidden under religious sanctions yesterday then how it could be allowed under the same religious sanctions today. Addressing the enemies of MQM he said, listen!  The people of Punjab are now awakened to change the medieval feudal political system in vogue despite all conspiracies and the righteous message of the MQM cannot be stopped from dissemination. He commended from the core of his heart the youth, elders, mothers and sisters of Punjab for waging the struggle of righteousness’ under the flag of Muttahida despite difficulties and conspiracies. He also commended the workers and office bearers of the MQM Punjab on organising the gathering in the 10 cities of Punjab simultaneously. Mr Altaf Hussain concluding the speech introduced the nominated candidates of the MQM fielded in those constituencies in Punjab.
