ALTAF HUSSAIN CALLS PIR PAGARA

LONDON: 18^TH DECEMBER 2010: 

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) telephoned the spiritual leader of the Hurs and President of Pakistan Muslim Functional Pir Pagara and discussed with him the overall political situation in the country and the problems being faced by the people. Both the leaders talked on important political issues and agreed on maintaining the process of dialogue and mutual co-operation. Pir Pagara told Mr Altaf Hussain that the country was passing through difficult times and called from bold steps and unity of political leadership. Both the leaders inquired about each other agreed on keeping contacts.

ALTAF HUSSAIN PRAISES LAW ENFORCING AGENCES FOR
SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS DURING MUHARRAM

LONDON: 18^TH DECEMBER 2010: 

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has praised law enforcing agencies for making immaculate security arrangements in Muharram particularly on the day of Ashur and for controlling the law and order situation in the city amicably. He said that it was because of the elaborate security arrangements that no untoward incident happened and the Ashur passed over peacefully. Mr Altaf Hussain particularly commended the efforts of DG Rangers Aijaz Choudhry, Rangers personnel, CCPO Karachi Fayyaz Leghari and Police Officers for their efforts and work. He praised police officials who foiled a suicide bombing in Shikarpur and said that the police officials showed an extraordinary sense of duty by risking their lives in order to protect the lives of citizens.
