CO-ORDINATION COMMITTEE OF MQM CONVENES EMERGENCY MEETING

KARACHI: 14^TH DECEMBER 2010

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has convened an emergency joint meeting of the members of the Committee in Pakistan and London on Wednesday the 15^th December in view of the changing political situation in the country after the separation of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (JUI) Fazlur Rehman group from the government. The evolving situation after the departure of JUI (F), the attitude of the PPP government, reservations of MQM and other important issues will be discussed in the meeting. A statement will be issued after the meeting about the future course of action of MQM.

AMBASSADOR OF FINLAND VISITS NINE ZERO

KARACHI: 14TH DECEMBER 2010

The Ambassador of Finland Mr Osmo Lipponen visited MQM Head Office  at Nine Zero. He was accompanied with his Second Secretary and Deputy Chief of Mission Ms Katja Kalamaki and Honorary Consul General Mr Ahmed Mahmood. They were received at Nine Zero by Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar and members of Co-ordination Committee Mrs Nasrin Jalil and Kunwar Khalid Yunus. MNA Dr Nadeem Ahsan was also present.  Dr Farooq Sattar briefed the visiting guests about the present situation in the country and especially about the law and order situation in Karachi. The meeting lasted for nearly half an hour.
