The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Pakistan Mr Andrey S Bundik visited MQM Head Office at Khursheed Memorial Hall in Azizabad and met Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar. The ambassador was accompanied by the Russian Consul General in Karachi Mr Andrey V. Demidov and Attaché Tural E. Dzhavadiv and Members of the Co-ordination Committee Mrs Nasreen Jalil, Kunwar Khalid Yunus and Provincial Minister Faisal Sabzwari were also present on the occasion.
The overall political situation in the country and matters of mutual interest came under discussion during the meeting. Both sides stressed upon the need for improving the relations between Pakistan and Russia and for increasing bilateral trade and economic co-operation between the two countries. They agreed upon strengthening relations between Pakistan and Russia for development and stability in the region.
The Co-ordination Committee emphasized the need for eliminating the decadent and corrupt political system in Pakistan in the light of the philosophy of the Founder and Leader of MQM Mr Altaf Hussain by promoting peace and economic stability and getting rid of the scourge of terrorism in the country.
Mr Budnik appreciated the role of MQM for democracy and political stability in the country. Dr Farooq Sattar thanked Mr Budnik for coming to MQM Head Office and presented him the “Pictorial Biography of Mr Altaf Hussain”.
