US AMBASSADOR VISITS NINE ZERO

6^TH DECEMBER 2010:

The US Ambassador to Pakistan Mr Cameron Munter visited MQM Head Office at Nine Zero, azizabad in Karachi on Monday 6^th December. He was accompanied by US Consul General in Karachi Mr William Martin, US Economic Counsellor in Islamabad Mr Christopher Geangoris, Chief of Staff to the Ambassador Mr Brian Haris, Political Officer Ami Shah and Economic Officer Mr Garaub Bansal. The guests were received at Nine Zero by Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar, members Co-ordination Committee Mrs Nasrin Jalil, Mustafa Kamal, Wasay Jalil, Kunwar Khalid Yunus, Federal Minister Babar Khan Ghouri and Provincial Ministers Syed Sardar Ahmed and Faisal Subzwari.

The ambassador showed keen interest in knowing the economic and fiscal situation and religious issues in the country. The visiting guests listened attentively to the viewpoint of MQM on various issues. They talked about relationships between Pakistan and the USA and stressed upon the need of establishing people to people contact as essential for both the countries. The Co-ordination Committee stressed upon the need of eradicating the obsolete system in the country that breeds corruption in politics in the lights of philosophy and ideology of MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain. They stressed upon the need of political and economic stability, national security and eradication of extremism and terrorism from the country. Mr Munter appreciated the efforts of MQM for establishing a civilized, welfare and democratic system in the country. 

Dr Farooq sattar thanked Mr Munter for visiting MQM Head Office on behalf of Mr Altaf Hussain and presented him the book “ Pictorial Biography of Altaf Hussain.
