Muttahida Quami Movement Founder & Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain said that President Asif Ali Zardari’s speech is of great importance for the solidarity and integrity of the country.

He stated this while giving his views over the speech made by Co-Chairperson  & President of Pakistan in Garhi Khuda Bux over the second death anniversary of former Prime Minister Mohatarma Benazir Bhutto.

Mr. Hussain said that today is the second death anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The people of Pakistan regardless they belong to the PPP or any other party, everyone not only condemned the horrific assassination of Benazir Bhutto but also express their profound sorrow. Specially the emotional attachment of the PPP leaders and workers with Bhutto family is immense.

He mentioned that before Benazir Bhutto, her father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and her siblings Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto were also martyred and it was natural that PPP workers should be emotional and sad he stressed.

Mr. Hussain said that today Mohtarma’s second death anniversary is being observed. On this occasion for the leaders and workers of the PPP to become emotional is but natural.

Commenting on the speech of the President, Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the atmosphere of the gathering was highly emotional and sad. In this memorial gathering of Benazir Bhutto her son and daughters besides the leaders and workers of the PPP were also present. At this occasion the President Zardari lamented the sacrifices of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and the workers of PPP for the betterment of people.

Mr. Altaf Hussain commented that President Asif Ali Zardari’s pledge is highly appreciable that he is committed that PPP led government will continue to serve the country and nation despite conspiracies being hatched against the government.

He termed the pledge made by President Asif Ali Zardari “ Pakistan Khappay” ( we want Pakistan ) is a good omen and MQM strongly welcomes it.

Mr. Altaf Hussain said MQM feels that democratic process in the country should continue which is in the larger interest of the country and nation.

Altaf Hussain further said that MQM is a democratic party and is always keen to see the democratic process being flourished in the country.
