Worker of MQM Liaquat Ali Shah Shot Dead By The
Armed Terrorist in Baldia Town, Karachi
11 MQM workers have been killed as a result of target killings
during the months of November and December

 According to the eye witness two terrorists riding on a motorbike on Thursday, at 3:00 A.M between the night of 24^th and morning of 25^th December 2009 approached the MQM worker Liaquat Ali Shah S/O Shoukat Ali and shot dead from point blank range killing him on the spot in Baldia Town Sector Unit 112-B, UC3, Baldia Town, Karachi. He was shot on his forehead. Liaquat Ali Shah who belonged to Hazarwaal was returning home situated in the area of 9F/1 in Baldia Town, Karachi. It is poignant to note that 9F/1, the part of Baldia Town is infested with criminals, gun-runners, drug mafia and terrorists belonging to Rahman Dakait group and so-called Peace “Amn” Committee. 
 

Liaquat Ali Shah was a worker of MQM Baldia Town Sector Unit 112-B, UC-3. He belonged to the Hazarwaal Community. He was married and left a widow and a baby.

This is pertinent to note that this is the fourth target killing of MQM worker during this week and 11 workers have been so far killed as a result of target killings during the months of November and December but not even a single assailant has been arrested.

MQM Founder & Leader Mr. Altaf Hussain expressed his profound sorrow on the killing of Liaquat Ali Shah. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved members of the family. He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace and grant strength to his members of the family to endure the loss of their loved one.

MQM Central Coordination Committee has strongly condemned the target killing of the MQM worker Liaquat Ali Shah and demanded of the President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take serious notice of the series of target killings of MQM workers and apprehend the terrorists bringing them to book and given them exemplary punishment.
