MAY THE NEW YEAR PROVE TO BE THE YEAR OF PEACE, SECURITY,
PROGRESS AND PROSPERITY – ALTAF HUSSAIN

London--31 December 2008...Mr Altaf Hussain, Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) extending his New Years greetings to the people said that May the New Year prove to be the year of peace, security, progress and peace for the people of the world including Pakistan. He further added that Pakistan is passing through a very delicate phase in its history, country is faced with internal and external security challenges, middle class and downtrodden segments in the country are living under price-hike, unemployment and impoverishment.

Mr Altaf Hussain wished that  May the Sun of year 2009 rise with the message of unity, solidarity and success for the people of the country and all the political and religious parties putting their differences and political interests away, shall strive for the national unity and integrity. He further added that May the New Year prove the year of unity and love for the people of the country to strengthen the sense of one nation state, end of religious extremism and terrorism, end of feudal system and inequitable distribution of national wealth and resources so that people can live in security and peace.

Mr Altaf Hussain also wished the New Years greetings to the workers and office bearers of the party and asked to work with a fresh resolve and determination to accomplish the mission of the party.
